Katie-Anne Padalino
Katie-Anne grew up in Southwest Georgia, eventually making her way to Charlottesville with her husband in 2010. Katie-Anne received her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University, and she is a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice. Katie-Anne lives with her husband and two children, all of whom love staying active, enjoying outdoor adventures, and playing games together. Katie-Anne and her family are involved in the Christ Episcopal Church community.
Katie-Anne is passionate about the healing power of presence and relationship, and her clinical practice specializes in trauma-focused therapy. With over 20 years of experience, Katie-Anne has counseled, mentored, and supervised individuals of all ages (from 2 to 82) from diverse backgrounds in a wide variety of community settings. Prior to private practice, Katie-Anne spent ten years providing therapy to children, teens, and families following experiences of family-based trauma and interpersonal violence.
Both in and outside of her work, Katie-Anne is motivated by a call to move near to those who are suffering, by the hope of light in the darkness, and by her deeply rooted belief in the inherent dignity of every one. Katie-Anne is grateful to support the transformative and incarnational work of New City Counseling.
